Students of the Confirmation Program at Saint Angela Merici attended the Ecumenical Service attended by leaders of various Christian Communities around the Monterey Peninsula, including our own Bishop Richard Garcia. Along with all those present, we listned to stories of how the communities are agents for bringing positive change to communities, especially when we work together to live out the Christian call.
Students stood in the vestible and greeted attendees, reminding them that the Church is still very much young and alive.
As a follow up, students were asked to reflect on the following:
--How are you an agent for change and unity in your own daily community?
--Have you had a specific experience where the teachings of the Catholic Church were clearly alive in your life?
