Students and catechists gather on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-4:45pm. In small, age-level communities, children learn and grow in their Catholic Faith. Our programs are guided by the Finding God curriculum, and oriented towards helping young Catholics form an ongoing and lifelong relationship with God. To register children in your care, email Jordan using the information to the left.
Our First and Second Grade students focus on foundational stories and biblical knowledge that are pathways to understanding the faith and sacraments. Each week, our catechists work to integrate multiple learning styles and community building to ensure that everyone has a place and a way to access their faith. During their Second Grade year, students will celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time, during Lent.
Our Third and Fourth Grade students work through the theme "Love God, Love Others." Together, with their catechists they use journey sticks to navigate the liturgical year, learn about how to fully, actively, and consciously participate during liturgical celebrations, and undertake a recycling project to raise money which is given back to the class's favorite charities. During their third grade year, students will receive the Eucharist for the first time and continue their journey as Catholics called to live the Gospel in every day life.
Our Fifth and Sixth Grade students, in keeping with the rigor of Common Core, begin to explore the thematic connections between the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures, giving students to tools to interpret and express the connections between the First Reading and Gospel during Sunday Mass. They've also made mock-Arks from bananas and Animal Crackers - that subsequently became the snack - and Jesse Tress for Advent to help ancitipate the coming of Christmas. This special group of students is also responsible for leading the rest of the Faith Formation students in prayer, during quarterly prayer services.
Our Seventh and Eighth Grade students meet on Sundays.
